Last updated: 26 April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SahiGhar ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use sahi-ghar.com (the "Site"). We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). By using the Site, you consent to this policy.
1. What we collect
- Contact details you submit when posting a property or expressing interest: name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email (optional).
- Property details you submit: title, type, location, price, photos, description.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited (collected automatically by our hosting and analytics providers for security and performance).
- Cookies: small data files used to keep you logged in and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. Why we collect it
- To publish and verify your property listing.
- To connect interested buyers/tenants with property owners after mutual consent.
- To respond to your queries on WhatsApp, phone or email.
- To prevent fraud, spam and misuse of the Site.
- To comply with applicable Indian law.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with:
- Verified counterparties. When you express interest in a property, we share your name and contact with the property owner only after we've reviewed both sides. When you post a property, we share your contact only with serious, verified prospects.
- Service providers. Our hosting and database vendor (Supabase, hosted in the Asia-Pacific region) and our content-delivery and security vendor (Cloudflare). These providers process data only as instructed by us and under their own privacy commitments.
- Legal authorities, when required to do so under Indian law.
4. How long we keep it
- Active property listings and inquiries: as long as you keep them on the Site.
- Closed/rejected submissions and old leads: up to 24 months for fraud prevention and audit, then deleted.
- Technical logs: typically 90 days at our hosting providers.
5. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data, except where we're required to retain it by law.
- Withdraw consent for processing — note that this may mean we can no longer keep your listing or inquiry active.
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of incapacity or death.
- Lodge a grievance — see contact below.
To exercise any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp at +91 97180 49790 or via Contact.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures: HTTPS everywhere, role-based access to our database, and encryption at rest at our hosting provider. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to share only the minimum information needed.
7. Children
The Site is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, please contact us and we will remove it.
